Land Rover 109 Series II Fire Truck 78pk 1969 – AM-25-29

This Land Rover 109 Series II from 1969 was originally converted into a fire department support vehicle for the Freiwillige Feuerwehr Lacken in Austria. The vehicle remained in service there until 2006 and was subsequently imported to the Netherlands.

Between 2012 and 2016, the Land Rover was completely restored from the nut and bolt up. During this restoration, the chassis was also replaced, as the old chassis was reportedly beyond repair. The car has also been fitted with a tow bar on the front bumper.

Documentation is included with the vehicle, including appraisal reports and many invoices. Contact has also been made with the Freiwillige Feuerwehr Lacken. The photos show this contact, as well as historical images of the fire truck—known at the time as “Roger”—during its time in service with the fire department. A photo essay on a USB drive documenting the restoration and history is also available.
